On-Page SEO (Search Engine Optimization) Tips for beginners



Search Engine Optimization or SEO can be mainly divided in to two parts:

On-page Optimization is totally running on the website or blog. This article gives you basic       things about On-Page optimization.

Off-Page Optimization is totally running out side of the blog or website. Link building can be an example of off-page seo.
This article doesn’t describe advanced On-page Optimization things like keyword density(in your blog/site's article or post). But this article/post describes basic things about On-Page-SEO, For advance tips, you can see later this post On-Page Optimization.


1. Title Tag

Title tag is very important for on-Page Optimization (or On-Page SEO). Always try to include all of your target keywords in to the title of your article or post. But don’t include more than 65 letters in it.

2. Meta Tags

Mainly meta description and meta keywords are useful for On-page Optimization (on page seo). But most of search engines(like google,bing yahoo...etc) don’t care much meta keywords. But still search engines(Mainly google, bing and yahoo) use meta descriptions. So include all of your target keywords(post/article keywords) in to the meta description.

3. Heading

It is good to have title (title tag) and heading to be same. And also use H1(Only one time) tag for your main heading and use H2 tag for sub headings.

4. Number of words

You may write at least 300+ words in your article to get search engine attention. But it is better,  if you  write 550-1000 words in your article.

5. Images

Try to include at least one image to your article with alt attribute. And also add your target keywords(main keywords) to image alt attribute.

6. URL structure

URL structure is also important for SEO(Search Engine Optimization). So include all of your target keywords in to the URL.


7. Bold

Bold the target keywords in your post/article . It may be a little benefit for SEO.

8. First paragraph

First paragraph is also important for On-Page Optimization(On Page SEO). Include all of your target keywords to the first paragraph. But it's  better to include all of your target keywords in to the first sentence.

9. Avoid duplicate contents

Search engine punish duplicate contents. So always try to publish unique, original, or  fresh things.

10. Sitemap

Sitemaps inform to the search engines that your site is available for crawling. If your Blog onWordPress, Then use some plugins (available in wordpress) to generate sitemap. If not use http://www.xml-sitemaps.com to generate sitemap.

    There are some more feature or the points which are important in on page seo. they are as follow:-
    To ensured that the page is working properly in at least three browser that is Google chrome, Mozilla Firefox before doing any link building.
    Copy write issue must be cleared because many cyber criminal can take opportunity about it.
    Website must contains blog section on the home page, example WWW.example.com/blog, if not please advice to do so.
